OKOBOJI WELCOMES YOU

THE IOWA GREAT LAKES

The main attractions of the Okoboji area are the glacier-carved lakes. This beautiful chain of lakes extends from the Minnesota border southwest several miles and covers approximately 15,000 acres.

The Iowa Great Lakes include Iowa’s largest natural lake, Spirit Lake and five interconnect lakes: West Okoboji, East Okoboji, Upper Gar, Lower Gar, and Minnewashta. Spring-fed West Lake Okoboji is a beautiful shade of blue and 134 feet deep. It is the centerpiece of the five chain lakes, and the surrounding communities provide the backdrop for Okoboji’s year-round playground.

By Rick Lewis

[Musical, PG]

A toe-tapping musical revue set in the 1950s.
A talented quartet of singing sisters is set to make its television debut. Will Ed Sullivan be watching and snatch them from obscurity to stardom, or will they have to return to Indiana with dashed hopes? This toe-tapping celebration of 1950s girl groups will have you humming for days. Featuring songs such as "Johnny Angel," "Mr. Sandman" and "Where the Boys Are," the show is a surefire crowd-pleaser. The Daily News says it's "the happiest night in town!"
